Going nowhere

Stuck in this aging body
Hard shell for the outside world
It looks like a million years
Since I wore my last true smile

Stuck in this aging life
Kids need a decent dad
And I work for them and for a living
Which rather looks like survival

Stuck into my aging heart
With pictures of you in my hands
And a feeling that can’t dissolve
The feeling of going nowhere.
