It’s been a hot day. I’m having a glass of rosé wine, while an invisible hand steals the sunset. Dark sisters approach from the south with their load of wind and electricity. I turn the light off, put my camera in place and enjoy the show.

This might be a dumb question, but how do you know when to snap the picture? 😦

There are no dumb questions Calen, only dumb answers… Some cameras allow you to choose the duration of the shot. In the nighttime you can extend this duration to many seconds, because of the darkness, and still obtain a decent picture. This shot has lasted 30 seconds, during which a lightning has fallen. I took more or less 40 shots to capture two or three lightnings… It needs patience and luck. 🙂

Cracking thunder. I love it, too. I’m glad you’re also super excited by lightening storms. I especially enjoy them in the day. And there’s nothing like a glass of wine to enjoy an atmospheric grilling.

When I was a little boy they scared me. Now I simply adore thunderstorms 🙂

It’s amazing what happens when you grow up. I like to think of it as smiling at storm. It’s become a metaphor for my life. They provide a good opportunity to take stock. Thank you for the vicarious experience. It was most thrilling.
