I moved to France 20 years ago, but I still feel like a stranger. It’s a feeling that I love because it still allows me to be amazed, as I gaze at the surroundings like a tourist on a never ending journey…

You really made my week (not on purpose) with that photograph and that reflection. I like the idea of renewal and constant progression forward. It is the impression I have of your character. Have a great day.

Thank you so much SB. That’s how I am indeed, even if lately it has become a need more than a trait of my personality. Have a great eve. xo

I know that feeling. Often times when we’re out and about driving around here I try to put myself in a visitor’s place and wonder how they see this area. I think if we don’t practice having new eyes we can miss a whole lot of interesting things. It’s a beautiful picture.

I believe there’s always something to see if you begin to look at things from a different perspective. It allows us to evolve and transform into an improved version of ourselves.

I love the photo and in a similar way I can relate with you! I moved to US almost 13 years ago my feelings are very similar. I am able to be here having new inspirations from a place that it is familiar but still unfamiliar, it allow me to see and discover my surroundings every day with different eyes and perpectives. š Your photo brings beautiful memories to me, I have been in France 3 times I loved to walk in the streets of Paris as much I loved visit all the small towns on the Atlantic Coast in Bretagne and Normandy…:-)

I think that’s a mindset that should be more common because rarely do people continue to see the world and feel a sense of wonder about it. To be able to see it with metaphorically new eyes every day.

You moved to my home country! I live in England myself but I do miss France – I’m guessing you like it quite a bit if you’ve been there for the last 20 years š

Ah ha, cassoulet et foire gras country is the south-west. That is my ‘neck of the woods’ as it were. I’ve been here for eight years and while every turn reveals inspiration, delight and wonder, I’ve never felt a stranger. France is the home I’ve searched for since I was a young child. France made sense to me where the Country of origin never did. J’adore la belle France!
