He screamed his lungs out
In the same empty room
Gravity crushing down
Heavy words one by one
The echoes won’t reach her
She’s safe behind the dikes
They will just fly over
Shadows cast by the clouds
Forever she will wait
But winds won’t sweep her sky
And a new love won’t kill him
‘Cause soulmates never die.
Beautiful.

That last line makes this one of the saddest poems of yours I’ve read. Sounds like eternal misery… Like those who never experience that bonding are the lucky ones after all… This one will stick with me for awhile.

I know. I feel sad for her somehow…

Not sure about soulmates dying, I know soulmates are not necessary the best for us.

Beautiful. Our soul mate can lead us to a depth of suffering that helps us grow in ways we never would have chosen and we are connected always. In rejecting us they teach us the lesson of self love…we will love them always but that love is about letting go. You can let go and still be connected I believe. What do you feel?

Thank you so much for your words, I totally agree. I am learning so much about myself these days. And I gave up on erasing the feeling to be connected. All I can do is let her go. Much love, HC

Yes because we loved and that was true…to try to erase it would be to deny that truth…β‘
