Fallen angel

Fallen angel
Stranded on my shore
Did I break through
The armor you wore

Fallen angel
Waiting at my door
Was it just a dream
Was I just wrong

We looked for mercy
Or for a leash
To pull us out
From our perfect world

Now seek no horizon
And crave for no love
Fallen angel
Don’t ask for more.

    Well, your first two lines undid me this morning. I’m not sure I’m understanding the third stanza. I’ll come back and reread it later. {{{HC}}}

Obviously my blonde blindness is giving me trouble again. I thought on it all day. Still clueless. I need to take a class in learning how to decipher poetry… 😦 Little help, please?

It’s about the encounter with a beautiful and solitary woman and the related expectations… Hugs, sweet Calen.

It’s the perfect world comment that is throwing me. I got the general gist of it. Was wondering if you were saying you wanted to escape your “perfect world” of reality for awhile or to be released from the “perfect world” the two of you had created. It would make a difference for me in how I get it. o_O What can I say? I’m curious about poetry and what it means. 😀

The first one, Calen. We often feel the need to exchange our perfect world for a less perfect but more exciting one. But then again, it only works for a while 😀

Well see there! THAT’S what threw me, that anyone would think they live in a perfect world! And yet I told everyone here I did — for years. It’s the discontent and the need for something more exciting that is the betrayer in our stories we craft. (Thanks for the tutorial, HC. Believe me when I say I am not deliberately trying to be obtuse. Truly want to know where people are coming from.) Love & Hugs, my friend.

Oh we could go on for hours on such a philosophical subject… Hugs back my friend 🙂
