As the cheerless towns pass my window
I can see a washed out moon through the fog
And then a voice inside my head breaks the analogue
And says
“Follow me down to the valley below
You know moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul”
I survived against the will of my twisted folk
But in the deafness of my world the silence broke
And said
“Follow me down to the valley below
You know moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul”
“My David, don’t you worry, this cold world is not for you
So rest your head upon me, I have strength to carry you”
Ghosts of the twenties rising
Golden summers just holding you
“Follow me down to the valley below
You know moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul
Come to us, Lazarus, it’s time for you to go”
“You know moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul…” That’s very sad and beautiful. I’ve never heard the song before but I like it AND the artist. Feeling down today, HC, dear?

Yes feeling a little down today. This song always makes me think about my father, but I don’t know why… Anyway, I love Steven Wilson’s songwriting and I am happy because I’m going to see him live on September 18th 😉 Hugs!

Funny the way missing parents can sneak up on you out of the blue — whether they’re still here or passed on. I was trying to think of what to do for my Saturday music post. I decided last night to bring up something about my dad’s funeral. So that feeling must be going around. Glad you get to go to a concert. Hope there’s lots of screaming and stuff — unless, of course, it’s really too grown up for that, in which case you could get asked to leave if you did that.
Hm… Just enjoy it, hon. Love & Hugs, me!

When I go to a concert, I can hardly stay quiet. I usually sing my lungs out and shake to the rhythm (I wouldn’t dare to define my chaotic moves a dance). Luckily enough, it will be (prog) rock so my behavior shouldn’t shock anyone 😀 Much love to you, HC

Sometimes you just don’t care what anyone thinks because you’re feeling it so much. There’s a Beatles tribute band here, The Tribute 1964. Their concerts are like watching the real guys. And the auditorium is FULL of mostly folks around my age all on their feet dancing. NO ONE pays one bit of attention to us making arses out of ourselves. I was far too shy to do that when I was 16. Lordy it feels good to finally let it out! Holding your rhythmic movement to your favorite songs inside makes one feel constipated — crude but apt description! So ROCK OUT friend! It’s good for your soul! 😀 Love & Hugs & Weird Gyrations to you, HC!!!
