We have a whole tree full of these birds. We feed them. Their cooing can get very loud in the morning! Here’s a bit of trivia for the day:
The mourning dove (Zenaida macroura) is a member of the dove family (Columbidae). The bird is also called the turtle dove or the American mourning dove or rain dove, and formerly was known as the Carolina pigeon or Carolina turtledove.
I think I love the name Rain Dove. Would be a cool name on a blog!

I love how rich and mellow the browns are in this photo. I love earth tones or should I say, “flesh tones”. Caramel hugs x SB

These little moments make life worth living… Just enjoying the sun or the wind on your skin… Little moments that often go unnoticed but still help us go through the bad times!

I think that this is what life is made of. Little beautiful moments passing unnoticed while we are too busy looking for that big happiness which never comes. Photography helps to catch and appreciate them, that’s why I love it.

Our little feathered friends can provide much inspiration. On my other blog I wrote about a little visitor we had about a year ago…
